Hi! I’m Christina Owens, M.Ed.

I didn’t always know how to describe myself. For a long time, trying different things felt confusing… until I realized the truth. I’m an explorer. I follow curiosity, try things out, learn what fits, and let go of what doesn’t. That’s just how I’m wired, and I’ve finally made peace with it.

If that sounds familiar—if you’ve ever felt pressure to “figure it all out” or follow a straight line—you’re not alone. I’ve learned that clarity often comes after we give ourselves permission to explore.

I grew up in Oklahoma and now call Virginia home — two places that shaped me in very different ways. One grounded me, the other continues to help me grow.

My life has moved through chapters in education, coaching, fitness, and real estate. Some things stuck, some didn’t, but each experience taught me something worth carrying forward. The constant thread has always been connection, reflection, and figuring out how our stories shape who we are.

Tea has become my way of slowing down and making space. It’s where I pause, breathe, read, write, or sit with whatever life is serving that day. A cup of tea has a way of bringing clarity when I’m not forcing it.

These days, a lot of my energy goes into creative projects built around books, letters, and reflection — things like A Cup of Authenticitea and A Letter Slipped Through the Pages. They’re invitations to pause, reflect, and see yourself more clearly through story. I hope they give you room to feel seen, sit with what resonates, or name something about yourself you hadn’t yet put into words.

If you’re in a season of change, curiosity, or quiet questioning, or if you’re learning to trust your own pace, you’re welcome here.

Outside of writing, you’ll usually find me with a cup of tea in hand, reading or listening to a book, or enjoying the small moments that make life feel full.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: your story doesn’t have to follow a straight line. The in-between, sometimes messy moments—the ones we rarely talk about—are often where we learn the most about ourselves. This space is an invitation to sit with them.

What’s in a name?
“Stina” is short for Christina, and “Gene” is short for Geneva. Together, they sit in between my full name, working outward — a reminder to live authentically from the inside out. StinaGene has become a space to do just that: sharing a mix of stories, reflections, and creative experiments.

Letters Worth Sipping On

Imagine opening a letter that slips from a book, carrying a message that deserves to be seen beyond the plot.

No spoilers. Just what lingered, shared with a tea and a reflection to sit with.

Not reviews. Not recaps. Just letters for readers seeking connection, curiosity, or comfort—and maybe even their next favorite read.
