Hi! I’m Christina Owens, M.Ed.

I didn’t always know how to describe myself. For a long time, trying different things felt confusing… until I realized the truth. I’m an explorer. I follow curiosity, try things out, learn what fits, and let go of what doesn’t. That’s just how I’m wired, and I’ve finally made peace with it.

I grew up in Oklahoma and now call Virginia home — two places that shaped me in very different ways. One grounded me, the other continues to help me grow.

My life has moved through chapters in education, coaching, fitness, and real estate. Some things stuck, some didn’t, but each experience taught me something worth carrying forward. The constant thread has always been connection, reflection, and figuring out how our stories shape who we are.

Tea has become my way to slow down and make space. It’s where I pause, breathe, read, write, or simply sit with whatever life is serving that day. A cup of tea has a way of bringing clarity when I’m not forcing it.

These days, a lot of my energy goes into creative projects built around books, letters, and reflection — things like A Cup of Authenticitea, Letters Slipped Through the Pages, and Bookmarked Thoughts. They’re my little corners of curiosity, and my hope is that they offer something meaningful to you too.

Outside of writing, you’ll usually find me with a cup of tea in hand, reading or listening to a book, or enjoying the small moments that make life feel full.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: your story doesn’t have to follow a straight line. The in-between moments — the ones we rarely talk about — are often where we learn the most about ourselves.

What’s in a name?
“Stina” is short for Christina, and “Gene” is short for Geneva. Together, they sit in between my full name, working outward — a reminder to live authentically from the inside out. StinaGene has become a space to do just that: sharing a mix of stories, reflections, and creative experiments.

Letters Worth Sipping On

A Letter Slipped Through the Pages is a note written from a character in a book whose story stayed with me. Each letter is less about book reviews or ratings and more about glimpses into a memorable story. Subscribe today and maybe you’ll find a new book or character that stays with you, too.
