Inspired by Design

Being inspired can be an incredible and overwhelming experience. While it feels good to have so many ideas and opportunities coming at you, there are times when it can also be overwhelming to manage them all or feel confident you're making decisions that lead to your ultimate goal.

Today, I want to share how your open energy centers can help you channel your inspiration into productive and fulfilling pursuits that truly matter to you.

This comes from the non-colored or lightly shaded shapes in your human design chart called Energy Centers. If you don't know your open energy centers click below and download your chart for free.

Open Inspiration (Crown)

You're like a donation box where inspiration is regularly dropped off. Inspiration can come to you in many ways, such as through conversations, books, podcasts, or things you see while out and about. Inspiration won't stop knocking on your door. You just have to know which ones to let in. There are two ways to manage this: follow your inner authority or shut it down before you open up. For example, you can delete that email before opening it, walk away from that commercial, or choose not to turn on that podcast.

Open Mental Awareness (Ajna)

You possess the valuable skill of being able to see things from various angles. When inspired by multiple choices or options, you might become unsure and perplexed about the best course of action. Rather than hastily picking something, it's better to pause, let the tension ease, and rely on your inner authority to lead you.

Open Expression (Throat)

Feeling pressure to speak may have you trying to fill a void and might have you verbally committing to something you didn’t want to commit to. When you feel pressure to speak, let the pressure die down before you share, maybe try counting to 10 or saying, “Let me think on that before I speak on it”.

Open Identity (G)

If you feel motivated to commit to something to prove a point, it's important to pause and reflect. Ask yourself if you're following a path that isn't truly your own, solely because you're caught up in someone else's clear sense of purpose. Take a moment to connect with your inner authority and make sure you're making choices that align with your personal goals and values.

Open Motivation (Ego)

Trying to prove your value or worth will have you inspired by something that’s not meant for you. Saying yes and constantly doing it to show how productive and worthy you are will have you inspired by something that’s not meant for you. Check in with your authority and pay attention to where a need to prove is guiding you.

 Open Vitality (Sacral)

It's important to listen to your body and recognize when you need to take a break or step back from something that may feel inspiring for a moment but will ultimately drain your energy. Learning to say no and prioritize your own needs is crucial for maintaining your overall well-being and preventing burnout.

Open Emotions (Solar Plexus)

If you find yourself being overly influenced by the emotions of others, it can lead to feeling inspired to commit to something that's not really for you. You're designed to be a witness to the emotions of others, not to solve their emotional problems. Instead of agreeing to something just to calm their emotions, take space from the situation and settle into your own emotions before making a decision.

Open Intuition (Spleen)

It's important to make sure that you're being guided by your inner authority and not by fear when making decisions. Fear can cloud your intuition and lead you down the wrong path. Trust your inner authority to guide you in the right direction.

Open Timing (Root)

Feeling pressured by someone else's timeline may inspire you to act on something when the timing may not be right for you. Take note of where the pressure is coming from and be prepared to say no if it's not the right time for you.

Here's to filtering out the inspirations that don't truly resonate with you and focusing on those that do.
